Ethical Guidelines

Authors submitting manuscripts to Hamdard Englicus are expected to adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical research practices. It is the author’s responsibility to ensure that the research report and any supporting data contain sufficient detail and accurate references to original sources, enabling other scholars to verify or replicate the study where applicable. Knowingly submitting inaccurate, misleading, or fabricated information constitutes unethical behavior and will not be accepted by the journal.

The corresponding author must ensure that the submitted manuscript represents original scholarly work and that appropriate credit is given through proper citation to the ideas, words, data, or interpretations of others wherever used.

Plagiarism in any form, including verbatim copying, improper paraphrasing, or self-plagiarism, is considered unethical publishing behavior and is strictly prohibited. Manuscripts found to have a similarity index exceeding 18% will be rejected without review.

DECLARATION

Authors are required to submit a signed declaration confirming that:

  • The manuscript is the authors’ original work.

  • The manuscript is not under consideration for publication elsewhere in any form.

Manuscripts that have previously appeared in abstracted or limited-circulation formats, such as conference proceedings, institutional reports, or publications with restricted accessibility, may be considered, provided full disclosure is made at the time of submission.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF SOURCES

Hamdard Englicus requires authors to appropriately acknowledge the work of others. All sources of quoted, paraphrased, or adapted material must be clearly cited, except for information considered common knowledge. Proper acknowledgment of sources is essential to maintaining scholarly credibility and ethical academic practice.
